Both Lucinda Williams and Townes Van Zandt wrote excellent songs about him--Drunken Angel and Blaze's Blue's, respectively. Check them out on Youtube!

I should say, the late Blaze Foley. Incredible songwriter. Was murdered in the late 80s. Been covered by Prine, Emmy Lou, The Ramblers, etc.

A real talent gone too soon, unfortunately as a result of hard living, as evidence by the photo. He was only 39...
