Agent here.

It probably appraised higher, you're likely fine.

When does the contingency expire? If the buyers are FHA or VA, it never expires, it runs with the life of the contract, but if this was a conventional loan and the appraisal expired then you're good.

Have the buyers not released the contingency? When was the allotted time to get an inspection per the contract? The seller doesn't have the right to know how much the house appraised unless renegotiation is required. The buyer paid for that info. They just need to sign off on that contingency.

So, then there is no reason I cannot do it - thanks!

Your agent should call the lender and ask what's going on.

Yesterday marked two weeks since the appraisal on the home we are selling. Is it forbidden for me to call the lender and ask what's the deal? I am starting to feel like it is back and the buyers' agent is not sharing it.
