We got the table before we got the kids, so ....
It's really not a huge problem. The living room is for the grownups. The playroom is for the kids. If they have to bonk their heads a few times to learn to be careful in the grownup room, so be it.

We considered it and decided against. We will buy one in a couple years.

No personal experience but it seems like a costly investment, not to mention I would never put a glass table around my kids.

We have the glass top one. Our DDs are 2.5 yrs old and 12 months old. It's not a problem. There's no running in the living room. They get reminded of that on a regular basis. I say "No running in the living room" and "Watch your head" a lot. Nobody's lost an eye yet.

Considering this coffee table for our living room. We have 5yo dd and 2yo dd. They would be playing in the vicinity of the table quite often. I thought it would be good with kids since it's so heavy and rounded edge but have seen some reviews otherwise. Any personal experiences ?
