The labs were another one of my favorites and another common breed. Most of them were always so playful and did pretty well with the other dogs. They would on occasion get snapped at or growled at because they would annoy the heck out of another dog if it didn't want to play with them. They just wouldn't take the hint. Most of them also loved water and would be the first in the kiddie pools that we'd fill up during the summer. One in particular (Ernie) was obsessed with the water and we wouldn't be able to have water buckets near him because he would always go and try and dig in them and knock them over. Unfortunately there were a couple labs that were VERY overweight and had a hard time playing with the other dogs. We gave them as much attention as we could but mostly they just slept.

My dachshund lays on a pillow & sleeps all day, so day care would be a waste of money anyways for us. Do they keep big dogs & little dogs separate in dog day care? I almost can't imagine having large & small dogs together. Seems like small ones would be afraid of larger breeds.

We had a few Yorkshire Terriers that came. They never caused any problems. I do remember one I think his name was Beau, he was very smart and would always figure out ways to sneak past us so he could hang out in the front office. Every time he got out he would run over and jump in the lap of whoever was at the front desk. So I guess you could say he was a little anti social with the other dogs. The other Yorkshires did great though.

As I said, I never had any problems with any of the Golden Retrievers. It has been over a year since I worked there and their personalities are the ones I remember the most. I guess you could call them the teacher's pet, they were always trying to get your attention but never in an annoying way. One named Gunner would always jump up and give me a hug when he got there in the morning. It was funny because he wouldn't jump up the rest of the day, but he felt the need to give us all a hug in the morning when he saw us. Usually they would play with the other dogs for a little bit in the morning and then sleep most of the day. The Golden was probably the most common breed we got.

She might be mine then. Tiniest Jack Russell you've seen? She wants to get dog and human attention when at daycare, but otherwise is happy to take a snooze. Very non-JR in general.
