Coastal Flats and Sweetwater do not serve brunch. Teds Bulletin Mosaic has not yet opened.

How about Mosaic? Ted's Bulletin opens early.

Is Ted's Bulletin at Mosaic finally open? If so, my vote would be for that- bring swimsuits for the kids and let them run around in the fountains afterwards (or if it is a leisurely brunch, one parent can take the kids to play outside once they get antsy while the other stays behind and socializes). Otherwise Artie's.

This place is just bad. I think the only reason it stays so busy is because the few other breakfast places in the area are equally bad. One can only eat Artie's so many times.

+1. I've eaten there twice--the first time, the food was pretty bad, but I chalked it up to it being super busy. I wanted to love it because it's close to my house, so I gave it a second chance. The second time, the food was even worse. Never again. I don't get the hype. We do Artie's or go over to Silver Diner in Springfield.

Yes, Artie's has consistently good food and service. There's also Eggspectation in Fairfax / Chantilly.

You can make a reservation for Cafe Deluxe or Chef Geoff's in Tysons.

Artie's is terrific with great food and excellent service.
You could also go to Mosaic in Merrifield. Matchbox has brunch. I still like Chutzpah over by the Safeway but it can be inconsistent.

Artie's is sooooo good.

PJ Skiddoo's has a brunch buffet as well. Pretty sure they take reservations.

My parents want to go to brunch this weekend (they are visiting) We have three small children. Any recommendations for places in Fairfax? We have been to first watch and loved it but the wait time is long and it's so crowded. Any other ideas?
