I have a breville convection toaster oven, bought off amazon. We use it to make toast in the morning, and to make toasted sandwiches or chicken nuggets or heat up leftovers later in the day. I keep cookie dough in the freezer and we bake just a few cookies some nights after dinner. Yesterday we made just six blueberry muffins. We use it every day - love it.

It's simple enough that the kids can use it, and powerful enough to heat up and then bake anything in less time than my oven. The only bummer is that it takes up quite a bit of counter space, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

I have a Hamilton Beach convection toaster oven from Target, it was about $60,works great and aside from the obvious reheating/pizza/etc you can make meat and veggies in it and they turn out great, you can broil stuff, etc. Well worth it and we use it just about daily.

I have one of these toaster/oven combos. I love it.

I'd never roast chicken in mine, but we use it a lot--toasting sandwiches, reheating pizza, toasting nuts, etc. We've never had any fuse issues, but then we don't use it as the same time as the other appliance plugged into the same socket.

a sheet of foil will make that a non issue!

I have one that we use multiple times a week for toast, chicken nuggets, and heating up things that need to recrisp like leftover quesadillas. If you get one with a convection option, it will take less time to cook things. Mine came with a baking tray.

I always wanted one, but someone told me once that it was a PITA to clean after roasting chicken in it, so I never bought one.

I think you might need to update your circuit breaker. I've never had this issue.

So, just choose carefully about where you put it on your counter (and, hence, where you plug it in), and be strategic about what other small appliances you use at the same time.

I love my toaster oven - I got mine -black and decker for 20 bucks almost 10 years back. Still working great.
I do fish, baked chicken, macroni cheese, warm up pizza, toast bread etc. Things to note is that you cannot use some of the baking dishes that you can use in regular oven. It warms up much quicker than regular oven- so less time and saves energy

I've never owned/used a toaster oven before and I'm clueless about them. But, I'm really getting tired of warming up my regular oven just to make 2 or 3 chicken nuggets, etc. Do you think a toaster oven would be a good alternative?

Do you have any recommentations for a toaster oven? I would prefer it to be pretty small, since counter space is limited.

Also, I don't know much about them. Like, when I cook chicken nuggets in the regular oven, I cook them for 14 minutes at 400. Would I cook them for the same in the toaster oven, or is it different?
