Hey, I can't argue with you there! I'm just saying what I'd heard from more than one source, and besides, when has the county ever been 100% about doing what makes sense?
I think I'd look for some new sources.

The half way house would serve those awful neighbors right! Maybe they are candidates to reside there themselves, it seems. If they burn the house down again, they can be charged with murder, once it is sold. I hope to see them charged sooner rather than later.
There are some unstable neighbors who can not stomach the first new house being built in their neighborhood. There is a famous case in McLean (the neighborhood across from Churchill School) where the next door neighbor repeatedly harassed the owner of the first new house. It will be interesting!
The neighbor does not sound very smart, though I suppose that is usually the case, hence their frustration.
What are you blathering about? There are tons of new houses in that area of Falls Church already.

The teardown activity elsewhere in that area has continued unabated, increasing the overall property values. There clearly was something "special" about that house/owner/location.

I would only buy it if I were prepared to put up something that looked very, very different than Gigantor in its place. Maybe a modest Colonial or a cute little bungalow.
