Guy here. Non-iron shirts are garbage, heavier fabric which is not fun in the summer and they rarely look as crisp.

It takes little time to iron 5-6 shirts at once sometime during the week. It takes less than 5 min a shirt, I usually iron all of my shirts before bed once a week. Mary Ellen's Best Press starch is my preference if you are looking for starch.

Right now I am traveling and iron my shirt in the hotel every morning before heading to work without having to wake up any earlier than usual.

Brooks brothers no-iron shirts. At some point after many washes you may need to do some light ironing on them but it will be easy/quick.

If you are trying to avoid chemicals in dry cleaning, do not buy no-iron clothes. The no-iron finish contains formaldehyde which off-gasses into the air and onto your skin.

Brooks Brothers non-iron shirts are the best that I've found so far. They look great and really are no-iron.

I love Land's End no-iron pants, but their shirts haven't been good quality when I've ordered them.

I would dry clean my boxers if they would take them.

Golf shirts, suits, jeans, shorts and work clothes all go to the dry cleaners. I actually appreciate it and realize it is a luxury, also I don't want my wife to feel obligated to do it. We are probably into the dry cleaner for 300 a month.

DH takes his shirts to the laundry/cleaners because for $1.50 each I'm happy not to iron. His khakis are from J Crew and Bonobos and we wash them and hang them up straight from the dryer as soon as it is done. They are wrinkle free enough.

Some no iron clothes have formaldehyde in them, so we don't buy them.

Non iron shirts. Brooks brothers, banana republic sell them. Never dry clean or iron again.

Dry cleaners don't dry clean cotton shirts. They launder them and use an industrial press to "iron" them.

Maybe you're trying to avoid the cost or maybe it'd the chemicals. But there shouldn't be dry cleaner chemicals from a shirt laundry. He shouldn't have his pants dry cleaned too often. They will get a sheen on them from the chemicals. Suits should be dry cleaned only when stained or once a year. So stand alone pants shouldn't be too often either. Even if they are cotton and not wool like suit trousers.

My DH just irons all his stuff once a week when he watches sports (sets up the iron in front of the TV). He's a busy attorney with two kids and a demanding wife (ha, hanse he does the ironing and not me!) so I'll bet just about anyone can find time to do this.

Brooks Brothers. LL Bean, and Nordstrom all also make high-quality non-iron khakis and dress shirts. Wash, dry for 10 minutes, then hang to air dry the rest of the way.

DH wears dress shirts and khaki-tyoe pants to work daily. We dry clean them, mainly because nobody has time to iron. Can anybody provide tips on how to wear similar clothes and avoid dry cleaning? Thanks!
