I just moved from SoCal and there is a palm place in Escondido that is great. Ok found it! It's junglemusic.net and there is this guy there, phil bergman, who is very helpful. He'll be straight up with you about what grows and what doesn't. I found him after buying something (fabulous) from a nursery in Hawai'i that can't hold up in SoCal. I was so mad at myself and vowed to find someone who would would have the selection, knowledge and integrity to sell me something that would work with my situation. Here's his number: 619 291 4605

good luck OP!

Pick some of these and stop replanting. Once you find the one you like look for a nursery that ships and has them in the size you want

I usually plant 2 Palm Trees on my Patio and pretend I am in the tropics all summer long.

But due to family illnesses could not get to home depot to get my yearly palms. Now they are all gone.

Any ideas of another inexpensive plant I can put in large pots for my patio?
