Are you dating my ex-DH? I have a 3000 pg manual with detailed instructions on his care and feeding.

He sounds like a lesbian.

I'm usually one for giving a guy at least a second date if you don't outright dislike him. But...he's clearly very emotional and you need to decide if that will work for you. There's nothing wrong with expressing himself and going to therapy.
The committing after one date and discussing therapy with you at this point -- those are the red flags.

HUGE red flag OP.

He is very needy.

There is no way a person can know after only one date whether or not someone is relationship-material or not. People need time to get to know each other and it sounds to me like this nut is jumping the gun big time.

Plus, he told you he is seeing a therapist already??!!

I have absolutely nothing against therapy per say, but I do not think it is appropriate to tell someone on the first date that you are in therapy.

I would cut off all ties w/this one and move on from him. Far on....

Just tell him point blank that you do not wish to g on a second date and do not see any potential for a relationship. Nip it now before it gets weird.

Agree with this. I was in the same situation, with a guy like that. Super nice, but very needy. Ended up not working out and he went crazy on me! He would not leave me alone. It was actually pretty scary.

We didn't even kiss. Just talked. I felt a decent connection on the phone before we met like I'm sure he did but now I'm not so sure.. Not sure I want to go on second date now; he seems way too pressed

Yes I said one more date but I'm a bit unnerved. He's in his early 40s

One date. It went ok I guess. But for him he is all over it and ready to get serious. I told him the reasons I was hesitant (besides not really knowing him at all) and he's very disappointed. Then he tells me he talked about me for 30 min to his therapist. Wth? Should I be concerned?
