Couples Swept Away. If you have big budget, the One and Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas, is lovely.

I second this - fairly quick nonstop flight from D.C., great service - been several times (note it is cheaper to book through a travel agent, same with a lot of hotels in that area).

How about one of the plantation beach resorts on Nevis or St. Kitts?

The Grenada La Source looks pretty nice
Some friends I know enjoyed the Biras Creek Resort in the BVI
There is a clothing optional resort on the east side of Bonaire called Sorobon Beach. From what I could see from the windsurfer's school side of Lac Bay it wasn't too fancy, but I bet it is relaxing and there are direct flights of Bonaire from NY, Atlanta...the view is terrific and so is the scuba and snorkeling nearby

Couples- there are three or four separate resorts in Jamaica. Loved San Soucci, there's a direct flight out of Baltimore to ocho rios. Won't break the bank and the food/drinks are way above all inclusive average.

We went to Sandals in the past (Bahamas) and did like it. I think we want to try someplace new. Any recommendations in riviera maya?

Offhand I'd bet the area around Cancun is a good bet (the "Riviera Maya")

Sandals is adults only and all inclusive. Its advertised as couples only but you can go as a group or friends or whatever.

We went to the one in Ocho Rios Jamaica and liked it.

...That won't break the bank. Caribbean or Mexico. Going only for five days in November to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thanks!
