I don't know about DC MAgazine but I can tell you certainty that in Washington Life-its really about who is friends with the owner of the magazine or buys a lot of ads. Its definitely not a reflection of any real lifestyle in DC. These are people who still Georgetown is the epicenter of power or coolness. I knew someone who worked there and heard such nutty stories about the owners.

I get this regularly in the mail, though I live in VA. Do any of you aspire to be in those society photos? I can't imagine, but then, I tend to shy away from any sort of attention like that.

I always wonder about the people in those photos. Sometimes I recognize the name, sometimes I don't. Occasionally, it's someone I know personally, but most of the people I associate with tend not to want to "go" there...
