Like PP said, call the toll free number on the back of the card and transfer the balance. Done.

Instead of spending money to issue checks, they actually get paid to issue debit cards. If you don't have a bank account, you were getting screwed on the check cashing, so this isn't any worse. If you do have a bank account, then select the direct deposit option next time.

The return is the paper you send to them.

Maybe it is to support the people - unlike most who are on DCUM who are underserved in banking? Those who would need to pay a fee to cash a check. Think how great it is for them.

I think it's ridiculous it's sent out on credit cards too. Are they hoping people lose them?

This is so stupid. They issued Master cards with balance on it. Way to teach responsible saving VA. Instead of paying off debt--Idiots will be buying useless items.
