Check the Washington Post classifieds; there are often ads from stores which are going out of business and need to sell the fixtures.

I went to fixtures plus... a bit disappointing, but great prices on slatwall. Keep the ideas coming, especially for ceiling lighting and spot lights

Look on Craigslist. There's a section called "materials" with some professional things, like stuff used in retail stores.

I'm on a budget (SBA issues getting the loan, but have the space already.) I'm looking for a good place to by reasonably priced, low cost furnishings for a retail store. Store is in DC, I live in VA (Springfield)...

Think chairs/benches, a table to use for the register/cash-wrap and some tables/display units.
