I have PNC virtual wallet and it works great for me. No fees. Deposit checks on my smart phone and available next day. Easy to deposit cash and checks at their ATMs.

Why do you need actual bank? I forgot when last time I walked into financial institution

Credit unions are good option - I'm with DCU for more than 10 years, free checking, easy to manage online banking, ATM fee refund if you have direct deposit, easy to deal with customer service. Checks can be deposited using smartphone, ocasional cash deposits can be done either trough ATM or in any participating CU.

As for savings - they all pay close to nothing, I again shopped online to find the one with better %

I went with Cardinal bank even though they only have one location in MD because they have great rates (1% interest on checking account), they automatically reimburse me for $15 of ATM surcharges a month, and I can deposit checks by taking a picture of them with my iphone.

With all of that, I don't really need to get to the bank very often.

Are you eligible to join a credit union? That would usually give you better credit card rates when you get to that point. You might lose out on multiple locations, but you might ask yourself how much in-person banking do you really need to do?

I currently have Sandy Spring Bank and would really like to switch my bank. I'm constantly having issues with them. For right now all I really need is a regular checking account, a saving. (possibly a C.D. Account). I'm also considering getting a credit card which I know very little about.

What I need in a bank:

Flexible hours
Multiple locations

Thank you
