I think it needs to be at roughly the same time each morning before you get out of bed

I wake up between 3-4:30 every morning to go to the bathroom. I've been taking my temp when I wake up so the time varies. Is there another way I should be doing it?

Yep. That's what it will do. try to be really consistent about time of day taking your temp - that will help the software with accuracy. I use TCOYF, and there are some tricks in the "settings" to make sure it is only considering your daily temp and CM, and not getting thrown off by ovulation tests. Not sure if FF is similar, but something to check for.

+1 for Fertility Friend. I find their mobile app, while not as pretty as some of the others, is the most useful/accurate out of the 4 that I have tried.

Thanks everyone. I'll check them out. I am 39 so not young!

9:45 again - Babycenter is *okay* because most of the posters seem really young (which if you are in DC, you probably aren't).

Because this forum gets very little traffic.

OP - if you are with it, know what you are doing, and don't mind some snark, the Bump forums are very active.

If you are looking for a more supportive environment that is VERY busy, try HelloBee (you have to be "invited" to join, but you basically just sign up and then get an invitation shortly thereafter).

I used TCOYF for charting. Their forums are ok.

Thanks. I'll check out Fertility Friend and Just Mommies. Hmm, I wonder why someone would go looking for something other than DCUM? I'm looking for a forum that gets a lot of daily traffic and this one doesn't seem to.

For charting I recommend fertilityfriend.com.

Wow, it's like there's this whole sub- forum on DCUM called "TTC." Maybe that might have some useful information, if you bother to read it.

I am just starting to TTC. What are some useful forums to connect with other women who are TTC? I've found the one on the TCOYF site. Any others that you like? Also, I am going to try to start temping this month. I see that there is a free online chart on the TCOYF site. Has anyone used it? Any others you recommend?
