Hummus and olives for your menu, for sure. Maybe some almonds or cashews as well, spiced or not, for a little crunch.

Get a nice mix of olives form an olive bar.

We almost do a cheese board. But for your lamb menu, the hummus & olives PP was spot-on.
For spring, you can also do a simple plate of roasted red peppers, goat cheese, water crackers or thin-sliced bread, and sauvignon blanc.

I'd recommend a few interesting cheeses with a few interesting crackers. And a bunch of grapes.

A bowl of olives and a bowl of spices nuts
You could also do fancy popcorn like at the bar at Rasika west end.
Basically bar snacks

I am having my DH's co-worker over for dinner. What is a non fussy snack I can put out before we sit down to eat? I don't want crostini or a dip - just something easy so it doesn't look like I really tried. What snack do you use to start your dinner party?
