Coinstar doesn't charge fees if you get a gift certificate. I use the one at the grocery store.

We save them all and then go to Navy Federal once in awhile to exchange them. We usually just deposit in DH's account. Shame on you people who throw coins away. I'd love to keep them! We just recently exchanged a jar for over $75, probably took about 7 months. Easy money!

I put them in the coin machine at Giant grocery. You can get Amazon gift certificates for free and they don't charge you 8%.

I pile them into a room and swim naked on top.

Coin star only charges a fee if you get cash. I took all my loses change and got a $134 gift card to amazon with no fees.

Most of mine end up in parking meters. I think the pennies end up with the socks that go missing from the dryer.

You could put them in a tip jar. I'm sure someone would appreciate them.

I put all my quarters in DCs' piggy banks. I actually carry a change purse and use the other change when I get drive thru coffee as I have enough time to count it out while I wait in line (and no one else can see me using it).

Not a troll post. I hate paying cash, I always feel like change in pennies/nickels is "lost money" that never gets reused or an opportunity to be deployed ever again. Prefer plastic ftw but sometimes you just cant win. How do ppl use coins? Do you just count change when you pay? I'm thinking of opening a TD account just so I can use the Coin Counter w/o fees. I dont like Coinstar because it charges fees, sure its a small fee but its the principal....no pun intended.
