Many job listings for mid and even senior level professionals are getting 800 or so applications position. Even for the most qualified applicants, it's hard to break through that.
OP here, thank you for the kind words. This is so true. One rejection e-mail I got stated that I was one of 500+ applicants, so yeah, it's hard. I guess I'll just have to keep plugging away at it. At least DH has a good job otherwise we'd be screwed!
