I think the popular names are geared towards the 27-32 year old crowd, so maybe yours were on the top 10 list 10 years ago? I know many Alyssas who are around 10?

Funny, with the exception of Mia, I know at least one baby/toddler with all the other girl's names.

So what we want to name our daughter is on this list, and has been for a several years. We have been debating NOT using it b/c it is so popular.

I just looked up my name and it was #3 in my birth year. I didn't have a ton of people in my class/school with my name (I know many more younger people with my name) so I am thinking if I name my daughter a popular name it might be ok...

My daughter's name was safely in the 200s when we picked it. And now look at it.

Honestly, I did. I loved the names Sophia, Isabelle, and Abigail so much when I was younger. We didn't go with any of them because they were just too popular (and I found other names that I loved just as much), but yeah.
