OP here. No idea why it says "sunderlying". Autocorrect must have changed it from suddenly... or I have a lot more to worry about than I thought!

I'm sure you meant "sudden" stop, right?
No "ragrets"??

Bad posture + repetitive movements do it for me.

OP here. No burned tires. But a suddent stop from about 35 to zero and I remember scaring my 4 year old who was strapped safely in her carseat. It's the only thing I can think that would cause this. Either that or I irritated something and it just isn't healing and is getting worse and worse due to life (working FT, taking care of kids, etc) and maybe I needed a day or two to rest it...

Define suddenly. Brake squeeling, smoking tires, burned rubber stop in the middle of the road - going from 70 to zero. If so, yes. I think you could probably could injure your neck that way. You can also injure your neck by sleeping funny on it, lifting something the wrong way. Muscle spasms also can be very painful.

I have the stiffest neck I have ever had. It is so bad I had to see my doc, who suggested Physical Therapy. I have zero idea how I would have hurt my neck like this, but at PT the therapist asked about a car accident.

Has anyone had whiplash and if so what does it feel like?

Can you get it from breaking hard on 270?
