Don't overthink it. They're swamped with the actual work of enrollment and managing the WL, not to mention everything associated with moving.

Instead of emailing, why don't you call and speak to someone and volunteer to lead the outreach. Tell them you're planning a "Welcome Playdate" and pick a date and time and location. Use a local park. Tell them you'd like to share it with all current and potential families. Post it on DCUM, but ask them to simply forward your message. They'll be grateful for the outreach effort and community building, and so will everyone who can make it. After that, you can exchange emails or set up a google group or something. Take charge and own it.

Yeah, I sort of do hope for a response by the end of the week if I send something mid-week. I'm not angry about it, but I have experienced faster communication from other schools. Have also experienced worse communication. Not a huge deal, just noting what I experienced this time.

Who did you email because I've always had a response within about an hour (during regular working hours). Also, I've heard that it's moved less than 10 spots.

Does anyone know how much the pk3 wait list has moved? We're top 20 or so but my impression was that with so few slots at all it might not move much?

we've got our twins enrolled for PK3 and would be interested in playdate(s). Saturday mornings are busy for the next month or so, but we could make it afterward.

I was thinking we could have a standing playdate, maybe the second and forth sat morning of every month at a park in Brookland and then advertise it on local listserves?

Mine is PK4.
