where do you find the early, mid and late season varieties? I've been to American Plant and they only have everbearing and June bearing.

I buy all my berry plants via mail order, from Nourse Farms nursery. They have a strawberry sampler collection.

The wild strawberries taste awful and grow tenaciously.

I would plant a mix of early, mid and late season. The June Bearers are larger, but both types have good flavors. The strawberries have become weeds in my yard.

The June-bearing ones taste better, in my experience.

I planted several everbearing last year and the year before and they barely came back this year. I bought 2 June bearing at the garden center this year that already had large fruit ripening but I understand I'll only get 2 years out of the plant. Which do you prefer?
