The IB program is super selective and should be considered on par with UVA's Jefferson Scholarship with regard to selectivity (though the IB program doesn't include a free ride).

For undergrad, you declare your major and fulfill the requirements to graduate with that major. No special admissions.

The South Carolina Honors College is also excellent but that does require special acceptance and it's selective.

It is not clear how to apply directly for the program (no interest in South Carolina apart from the IB program).

Can anyone shed light on the application process and academic standards (SAT/ACT) for admission?

I’ve never such a fantastic program tucked into an otherwise average school.
