I like the Spice Xing Dosa too. Passage to India in Bethesda is also owned by Sudhir Seth so maybe you can get dosa there?

Love Woodlands. Malgudi was okay but pricey. I didn't care for Amma's and Madras Palace was hit or miss.

It's not that close, but Spice Xing in Rockville Town Center.

Malgudi is on p st nw next to Stead Park. Dosa and sambar is pretty good. Not the best but quite good.

I know about Woodlands, but that's a bit far (and I wasn't all that impressed when we went, but maybe it was an off day). Bombay Bistro in Rockville was reasonably good last I went, but it's been a while. Is there anywhere closer to Bethesda or NW with great dosa and sambar?

Oh, and I have tried DC Dosa at the Foggy Bottom Whole Foods. Good in its own way, but I'm looking for the more traditional, really thin kind of dosa, and in a sit-down restaurant.
