This is my understanding as well. How do you think the college placement compares (not including those recruited for sports)?

People seem to really like the vibe at St. Andrews -- warm and nurturing and small enough so nobody falls through the cracks. Hearing good things from families with kids at Bullis, too.

If you're open to all-boys St. Albans is worth a look -- they do seem very comfortable in their own skin and that includes artsy kids not just sporty types.

I think Landon would be a great option, as well as the other schools mentioned. If you're okay with a K-8, I'd also look at Norwood and St. Patrick's.

Everything I hear about Holton from friends and colleagues is to the effect that Holton has really helped "bring out the best" in their daughter - from developing a strong sense of self to improved study and organizational habits. DS is getting lost in the cracks at our large public and while perfectly smart is not a genius. I would love to find a school like Holton for him - it does not need to be all boys (in fact I'd prefer that it be co-ed). But can anyone recommend a school that admits boys that has the same positive attribute of helping kids become their personal best where they can become confident in their skin. Thanks.
