Thanks for responding, and I do understand re the fighting. That one was clearly started though as a PSA to parents, not an argument about vaxxing, and I think it's a really important PSA especially for parents of infants. I know there's probably no way to keep an argument from developing in that thread, though.

Thanks for the suggestion. But, I'm trying to be consistent by moving vaccination threads into Health and Medicine. They tend to turn into huge mud fights and General Parenting has enough of that with circumcision and breast feeding.

Hi Jeff, I'm not sure, but I think a measles outbreak thread was just moved from General Parenting to Health and Medicine. Obviously it IS a Health and Medicine appropriate thread, but I think it may be important enough to leave it where parents whose children might have been exposed will be most likely to see it. I'm not the OP of that thread, but it really does strike me as an important PSA for parents in the area, and the greater visibility in GP seems worth "breaking the rules" in this case.
