The poster sounds like a jerk,
but has a legitimate question. The only advice I can offer is to either answer his question or skip this thread. It is sad, but I suspect a lot of guys would react to special needs kids that aren't their own in this manner. I hope his girlfriend understands this and sends him packing.
Jeff,
I respectfully disagree.
So, if there was a similar posting in the Camps section reading:
My girlfriend's kid is [
a child of xyz race or a named religion] and as you can imagine a real pain in the ass to be around. I'd rather have my summer [
named race/ESL or named religion] free so I was wondering if any of you could recommend a summer camp I can send him off to? I'd love to send him to something out of state, like MD or PA but local is fine as long as they keep him overnight.
Would that type of post be OK with you? Even, as you say, if a lot of guys might react to this fictional kid in this manner for any of a number of reasons?
(it would not be OK with me and I'm guessing some of your general NT readers/posters)
If not, then I'm not sure why it's OK to ask same about SN.
Just my 2 cents. Thanks for reading.
