Third this. They are very expensive, but they last a very long time. I've had my go to pair for four years and expect that with regular care (reheeling, etc) they will last for at least another four., if not a full decade.

On per wear basis they are cheaper for me than shoes I've picked up for $50 that are a wreck at the end of the season and which are not nearly as comfortable. I am very hard on shoes.

Delmans seem to have a little more support -- at least you cannot completely bend the sole! When I find them on a sample sale site, I stock up. They tend to run small too.
