The quote tag with the missing bracket got carried through. Quote your message and look at the quoted text. You will see the first quote is missing a bracket at the end of it closing quote tag. Add a bracket and type a response. The quotes should be fixed.

On that one, the closing quote tag is missing the final bracket. Whether a glitch caused it to go missing or the user simply deleted it for some reason, I can't say. I've never experienced tags getting messed up myself, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. Still, I'd lean toward user error for that example.

I would have to see an example, but my guess is that there are several layers of quotes (a quote within a quote) and one closing quote tag got lost somehow.

Hi, Jeff. Do you know why sometimes the quoted part captures all the new text in a post even when it's outside the "quote" symbols? Seems to happen randomly.
