We also did Clyde's Tower Oaks and it worked out well -- large table in the back room.

Also, was just at BC Steak (former Bugaboo Creek) the other night, and it was very good. They have a private side room with several tables.

Black Market Bistro in Garrett Park.

Positano Italian Restaurant in Bethesda has a nice private room for small events.

Not a good choice for a post-baptismal luncheon. Way too noisy and busy.

+1 I completely agree

Chef Geoff's (Rockville Pike) and Lia's (Friendship Heights/Chevy Chase) are both good options for this - wide-ranging menu and some private spaces. Clyde's in Chevy Chase might also be a good option.

Bumping this up because I have the same question and we have grandparents who only eat Italian and American. Any other recs?

We did Clydes at Tower Oaks because there were several little kids coming -- it's a fairly noisy restaurant, so noisy kids were not an issue.

Small (8-10). Private room or not. I'm open to a range of cuisines. There will be some vegetarians, but I assume they can find something most anywhere. I guess I'm just looking for BTDT recs, or really anything to just get my planning going! Thanks.

How many people? Do you need or want a private room? What kind of cuisine?

This would be small, mostly family. Any recommendations appreciated!
