It all depends on how the relationship ended.

If it ended amicably, then by all means I see no reason not to say "Hello" and wave.

If it ended acrimoniously, then I just ignore them.

I would say (and have said) hello and probably have a brief, cordial conversation (depending on the ex). I have one ex who wouldn't respond to my greeting and completely ignored me. The others are all mature enough to have moved on from anything that happened 13+ years ago

Depends on which Ex. I have one I never want to run into again, alone or with anyone else. Most of them I would be polite - say hello, acknowledge, maybe even introduce them. I have one that I'd fantasize about running into and rubbing it in her nose, but that's just revenge fantasy...I'm sure I'd be polite, if we couldn't pretend we hadn't noticed each other.

I would simply say hello at best, even just a nod of acknowledgment. Especially if I was with my new partner, I would in no way want to upset them.

If the tables were flipped I would not want my SO to stop and hold a long drawn out conversation in front of me. I would do the same respect for him.
