It is a noon start time, which is late for us too, but I think they have swim team and other events in the mornings. It has a great swim team (The Holy Mackerel!) but we do not participate.
It has two larger pools, one with a diving area, and a 3ft section, and one with a 3-5 ft depth and lanes for swim laps. They have adult swim for the last 15 minutes of every hour too.
As with most pools in the area, it gets crowded on Sat and Sunday afternoons.
There's also a picnic area and snack bar (although don't try getting something off the grill on a Friday or Sat night early in the summer, it is run by teens and takes forever.) But there's also a bar! with beer! so that's nice to sit out.
There's also a popular weekly summer camp held there but you don't have to be a Knight to participate.
We love it, but just like all the local pools, it can be crowded and not worth it if you are a dual-working couple and won't be taking kids to the pool on the weekdays much in the summer.
I agree with all this. We joined last summer (my husband is also a Knight) and did not really take advantage of the whole season because it just seemed very crowded every time we went (usually in the afternoons during the week). It would clear out around dinner which was better, and my kids love the snack bar. I wish it opened earlier - I am off for the summer from work (teacher) and it would be nice to go around 10 am.
