Hmm. I am clearly new at this, but I tried to sign up tonight, and the only option was to add the wait list. The website said that signup started today.

There are a few indoor pools at the HSs. And Upton Hills which is run by some regional park organization. It's great when it's not mobbed.

It is soooo much more crowded than other pools we've gone to (at least in the evenings and on the weekends). I feel like the only way to watch my little kids in that pool is to stand in a crowd near the side. After going there maybe 6 times with friends we decided on a different pool (not Arlington) that is less crowded and it is much easier to see my kids while they playon the climber or in the pool from my relaxing seat at the table with adults or in a lawn chair.

There's also a popular weekly summer camp held there but you don't have to be a Knight to participate.
We love it, but just like all the local pools, it can be crowded and not worth it if you are a dual-working couple and won't be taking kids to the pool on the weekdays much in the summer.
I agree with all this. We joined last summer (my husband is also a Knight) and did not really take advantage of the whole season because it just seemed very crowded every time we went (usually in the afternoons during the week). It would clear out around dinner which was better, and my kids love the snack bar. I wish it opened earlier - I am off for the summer from work (teacher) and it would be nice to go around 10 am.

We've considered joining too, because we live 0.5 miles away, but I'm not sure we'd use it enough to justify the cost. Right now, we can get season passes to Upton Hills for a lot less. (though no beer there.)
My daughter is going to camp there in June, so if she likes it, that might sway me toward an August membership.

I was looking at the Knights website-- it looks extremely expensive for non Knights. I couldn't get a good sense of what the facilities were like. It also seemed like the hours were fairly short- 12-8?; we had an August membership at Overlee last summer, and it was open 10-9, and we frequently went at 10am.
Can anyone tell me more about the Knights pool and facility? How crowded is it? What is the baby pool like? Are there pictures anywhere? Does the main pool have steps or just a ladder? How deep does it start at? I'm trying to decide if we want to spend $900 for the summer which seems like an awful lot.
