+1 It also confirms what I feared as someone who was shut out that once people got "used to" where they enrolled if in their top 7 or so, they would not be moving.

Enrolling in our # 2 pick. Would not move to our # 1 even though we are in the top 5 on the waitlist.

Enrolling #10.

100s on the wait list for all the other DCPS lottery pics so haven't even thought about if we would move since there's pretty much no chance we'll get in somewhere else.

30s for LAMB but probably wouldn't move on the off chance we get in-- commute would be brutal.

Enrolling IB. Would consider a switch if #1 came through.

In at #2. Would probably only move for LAMB at this point, especially after looking into where some of the charters are getting their money. (I certainly wouldn't cast aspersions on people who decide differently; you work with what you have in front of you).

We got into our #10 (our IB school for PK3). Would move for anything 1-9, and any non-common lottery schools except for Shining Stars.

In our number 4 pick for 1st. Would move for 1 to 3 or YY or CM.

Where did you rank the school you are enrolling at? Are you committed to stay or would you move for a higher pick?

I'll go first. We made it into a non Common school for pk3 but we're otherwise shut out. We would move for anything in the top 5 of our Common Lottery list, where our numbers range from 17 to 170
