Sorry, maybe this is in the wrong place. 1) I guess because I figured some fellow nerdy parents of AAP kids might chime in. 2) The latest (but by far not the only) example of this reasoning I saw was on this forum (a comment about AAP being useless/unnessary because there are so many students who are successful despite not having been in the program.

Indulge me. One of my pet peeves (akin to people using the wrong form of there, they're or their) is when people use this kind of reasoning: "There are so many successful kids who never took AAP, therefore there are no benefits to AAP." or "My kids are doing fine and we both work outside the home, therefore there is no benefit to having a stay-at-home parent." or "I don't eat organic fresh produce or organic meat and I am perfectly healthy, therefore, there is no benefit to eating organic." You get the idea.

This post is not a pro-AAP, pro-SAHP or pro-organic food post. It just bugs me that I see this type of reasoning used all the time on DCUM when people are defending their own choices/opinions. Is it just me?
