We live further away from this flight path and also only notice the noise when it's cloudy, but we can hear it inside the house on those days. But I've been in neighborhoods closer to this flight path (not Foxhall Village though) and in some blocks it sounds like a 747 is landing on top of you, and in some blocks it's much more tolerable. I guess I'm just chiming in to say the noise can be confined to a smaller area than just a neighborhood. You really need to know what it's like at the exact address, IME. I would be very wary to live right under this flight path on either the DC or Arlington side of the river.
