I think you are right OP.

Unless they are the little prissy dogs, dog belong outside.

They are happier in their natural element with all those wonderful sights, sounds and smells.

Poor dogs. Dogs are animals and need to be near their pack. You are their pack.

So you're at work all day and the dogs are outside all night? What's the point of having them? Seriously.

I grew up with our dogs outside. They had an insulated dog house that my father built and lots of bedding. They came in when the weather was bad or very cold. They hated being inside the times we brought them in and would sit by the door waiting ot go back out. These were large dogs (not owned at the same time).

My husband and I are looking to get a dog and this is a sore subject between us as i want the dog to be mostly outside and he wants in to be indoors.

I wish I had something more concrete to offer, but you are not the only one and I don't think it is cruel if they have room to run around and a place to sleep.

I don't want their hair or smell in my house, sorry. They can sleep on doggie beds in the porch.
