Done. Very nice, smooth, well done.

I hope to receive the raw data and information, as I requested.

This is fantastic. Forces people to be little more thoughtful and allows for productive feedback.

As with the worksheets we did at the DME community meeting a few weeks ago, I'm sure the comments will vary geographically. It would be good for parents in one part of town to be aware of the issues and needs of parents in other areas.

I've always had a feeling that the final proposal would include several variations that match those needs - what happens in AU Park will be different from what happens in Brookland and more different still from what happens in Anacostia.

This being said, it's probably not more than a preliminary notion, particularly as the print materials simply refer to it as an anonymous charter.

I reloaded and it worked fine.

Ah, yes. By default, the school code column (C) is hidden. Unhide that, and you'll see Friendship Chamberlain's school code. This column is what we do our matching on.

I don't see Friendship Chamberlain listed on the spreadsheet you linked to--it just says "Charter?"

Similarly, when I put in my address the app said the charter was Eagle Academy, but I didn't see that listed on the link you gave or on what was provided at the Dunbar meeting. It wouldn't surprise me, but I'm still curious where you got the info.

Hi Chris, great app! Question for you. For the Brent-Tyler-Friendship Chamberlain choice set, did you get the info that Friendship Chamberlain would be the charter included in the choice set from the DME/DCPS/charter school or is that just a guess since that is the only elementary charter in the area?

Hi -

I'm the guy who built the app, so I can note how we expect the feedback will be used:

* It'll be shared back to DME and DCPS
* It'll be analyzed by the data-heads in our group (Code for DC), and we'll probably create some visualizations or posts talking about the patterns we're seeing
* It'll be shared with community groups so they can use it to advocate for their positions

Can't really get any more specific until we get lots of feedback, so if you've got five minutes, take it for a spin:

I have no idea how feedback provided via this application might be used, but I just worked my way through it and it is pretty amazing. And I guess I trust the open data folks as much as anyone else to figure out a way to aggregate the comments and provide actual feedback to DME and DCPS.
