Yes. The result is their kids behavior sucks because the kids literally do not know how to act other than being rough, pushing, shoving and cussing. My kid goes to school with these kind of kids. It's annoying and disturbing.

Well, maybe you should teach yourself and your kids that spanking or other corporal punishment is not wrong, but is just a different form of punishment. Your kids get a Naughty Step, those kids get a smack. They are not abusive parents. Use what works best for your family and your child.

It is a poor thing because poor parents are almost always overwhelmed with stress and stress over health, bills and shelter can cause you to do crazy thing. Poor people don't have the resources for therapy to deal with domestic abuse, drug violence etc.

Bingo. I've worked with low income people and it's almost universal across races.

The other day I saw a woman on the Metro shove her son to the ground because he leaned on the door of the train. I always wish there was something I could do in situations like that, but it seems like anything I might say or do would possibly just make it worse for the poor kid. I agree that race doesn't have a lot to do with it. It's more correlated to age/socioeconomic status.
