I'd wear the Chelsea's, but then that's what I liked 20 years ago too.

I still wear them and got a new pair of boots this year. My typical look is dressed up jeans (jeans and interesting top, no sweatshirts or fleece) and I wear my Docs with that, wherever I would normally wear boots. I'm 37 and I get a ton of compliments on them still.

They are not as good as they used to be. Fair warning.

When my last pair fell apart, I tried on docs in the store, but the quality isn't there since they moved the factory to China. I got Red Wing biker boots instead.

No, go ahead and wear them.

I think there definitely IS an age limit on some types of clothing - mini skirts and crop tops, to name a few.

Of course wear them! What I really want to see is a grandma rockin' them!

What do you wear them with?

I would generally wear them with long maxi skirts, or with capri pants (I don't wear jeans at all, and I don't wear shorts). I only wear black, and I mostly wear long skirts, or black pants with tunics.

PP here. I would like to be friends with you, please.

My whole family regularly wears them. We range from 27-39. I only wear the print ones if I'm going somewhere it's appropriate. The solid ones I wear with skirts or pants.

If you are old enough to have possibly seen the Sex Pistols in concert or watch a Clash video on MTV, then yes, you are too old to wear Doc Martens.

I'm 38, soon to be 39. I've always worn Doc Martens and also creepers. I haven't worn Docs for over a year now, since my old ones fell apart. I told my DH the other day that I'd like to get a new pair, and he was like, "aren't you too old for that now"? Is there really an "age limit" on wearing Docs?
