Wow! Thanks for the detailed answer. So, on days when I have an overnight, I try to nap from 2-4/5. Then I go in at 11 and work til 7, come home by 8:30 (depending on what time I leave) and sleep til 2... I never get sleep at work. Again, thanks for the advice!

i intermittently work overnight shifts (from 11pm-7am) and on those days, I will take a nap (2-3 hours) in the mid afternoon.

Would it be crazy to work out in the evenings before going in? At 8 or 9?

I'm wondering it would energize me and pep me up, or, if on not-quite-enough sleep, the exercise would make me more tired?

I'm a physician, so have to be on the ball all night
