Pictures of Hillary place her age wise in an appropriate zone. HRC gets lots of criticism for her looks. (Ie. she's not hot) No one expects a grandma to be hot, though.
Any pictures of HRC with a grandchild can only soften her image. She gets a lot of crap for being tough. A baby will soften her image.
It also speaks hugely to women's issues and family issues. Mrs. Palin trotted her kids out at every opportunity and it was visually very powerful. That campaign talked about Palin as a "hockey mom" a lot, because it appeals to voters. Grandma Hillary will have the same appeal.
From a mom's perspective, I can totally see Hillary telling Chelsea to go right ahead with a pregnancy, because time is wasting and I want to see my grandkids.

She has just about zero significant accomplishments in anything that would remotely qualify her for a significant public position. Yet there's that familial sense of entitlement that will keep me (a Dem-now-independent and strongly anti-Republican) from voting for her mother.
She's the former senator from New York and the former Secretary of State.
She is now more qualified than George W. Bush or Barack Obama when they were elected.
What the fuck do you want in a candidate?
