OP here -- I know, it comes off as arrogant. We want to buy a single family home in a top school district in Montgomery County, which is not easy to do on our income. We have day care expenses which will make it even more difficult.

Can anybody recommend a good fee-based financial service adviser? My husband and I don't make much money ($170K HHI), so we don't have a ton of money to invest at this point. We are saving as much as we can toward a down payment on a house, and we can really use some sound financial planning advice. I don't want pressure to invest with an adviser that charges many hidden fees.
