Atkins induction. Cut all sugar out for a week or so. Gets rid of my cravings very effectively. However, I'd wait until you're done nursing.

Fruit like apples and oranges but placed in the fridge to get them quite cool. The cold gives it a bit of a 'zing' which is more satisfying to my sweet tooth.

Cold turkey. Cut all added sugars out completely. If you read the label and sugar is in the ingredients list, put it down. Eat more whole food and less processed food. Just do it.

Hmmmm. What has worked best for me is a cold turkey approach. I am very all or nothing, though.

What if you tried to substitute fruit when you had a sugar craving? Clementines are awesome and will satisfy me.

Alternatively, you could allow yourself a certain amount of sugar per day and track it somehow. You could let yourself have x number of pieces of candy per day, or you could track grams of sugar. That is eye opening when you start really looking at packages.

I am not terribly overweight, I have a six month old baby and still breastfeeding. I am back in my pre-pregnancy clothes and have maybe 8 pounds to lose to look pretty good. I eat well at meals but have a wicked sweet tooth. Any suggestions on how to get it under control?
