I love a good blue moon! Sam Adams also a safe bet.

Agree that Stella isn't my favorite

Samuel Adams is very good and you would do well to serve that at any party.

The name "Yuengling" is derived from an old German family name (but English lacked the letters to spell it correctly). It is good beer for the price.

Stella Artois is mediocre and way over-priced, plus the packaging is not environmentally friendly. We would never serve this.

Yes to everything above. Wish I knew you in real life

DH loves Yuengling and Sam Adams.

Most beer drinkers will bring a case of their favorite to the party.

Sam Adams is the single most reliable beer for all occasions. (The original Sam, not the myriad seasonal flavors.) Always a good choice.

If you want guests to have a choice, get a good hoppy IPA, something Belgian, and a basic light beer (a pilsener or maybe a wheat beer, or even Bud Light for people who don't like "snobby" beers).
But be aware that some people hate hoppy IPAs, some people hate Belgians, and some people hate basic light beer. So this only works if you have something for everyone.

Sam Adams is generally liked--it's a good, solid beer.

I'd stay away from really hoppy beers (like IPAs) or porters, unless you're getting a variety. A good amber, pilsner, wheat beer, or lager is your best bet. Yuengling is pretty good. Other solid brewers--Starr Hill (a Virginia brewery), Great Lakes, or DC Brau (if you want to go local).

Trader Joe's actually has a good selection of bottled beer (including a house brand which is not bad). You might check that out.

Totally depends on what you're serving, but Sam Adams is a safe bet. They have some good seasonal beers right now and Sam Summer is just out.

You can also go somewhere like Total Wine and ask them to help you pick out a beer to go with your menu.

Yep most wine drinkers get shitty beer. I have been know to get Boone Farms for events. For some reason they don't seem to happy about it, but they drink it.

Get an IPA, dogfish or something that is local, stay away from the large brewers. Thanks for being a good host.

We generally serve German beer. We are German.

I'd say Sam Adams is generally liked. I like Stella Artois. Yuengling is popular around here.

I'm not a beer drinker, so I never really paid attention. I was thinking of getting some bottles of Sam Adams, and maybe something else? Is Sam Adams generally liked? Any other suggestions? Thanks!
