I walk or combination of walking/Metro to work, and it seems that even when it's not hellish hot and humid, my long, medium-thick (some fine hair that grew back in after I lost a bunch a few years ago) hair is a Sopping. Straggly. Sweaty. Mess.
I've tried headbands to keep it away from my face and neck, both high ballerina-type and low chignon-type buns- nothing seems to work. I walk into my professional (even a little fashion-minded) office looking like a drowned rat. Once I dry off I'm OK- but I literally paper-towel off my hair, then wait for the rest of it to air-dry, of course deodorant and makeup again and sometimes baby powder in my hair but this of course takes a while and can be messy (I wear a lot of black!)
Sorry so long, but this is a real PITA that I don't notice in others so much. I'm sick of slinking in hoping no one sees me bolt to my office and basically hiding out there till presentable. What would you advise? Anything work for anyone else? TIA!!
