IKEA.
Best value for money, and they have many different weights.

Bloomingdales has really warm, fluffy duvets. The lightest level works for this area, all heavier levels are way too warm even in the winter.

Oops, it was from Crate and Barrel not Pottery Barn.

Depends on whether the cover you purchased is a standard size or not. For example, a Crate and Barrel queen size duvet cover is a different dimension than a Restoration Hardware queen size duvet cover, and you cannot buy the correct size insert for either at Macy's. I would google bu the dimensions and hopefully that will help narrow it down. If it's a more common size, I do love going to Home Goods or TJ Maxx and just picking up one. I've truly never noticed the price point as long as I am warm

I just bought two really affordable duvets for my DD and soon to arrive DC#2 and splurged on the duvet covers from PB. I can't speak to the quality yet as I haven't opened them.

For the parents, I ended up buying a king sized Calvin Klein 100% down comforter for $60 when Macy's was having a huge sale (they have them relatively often). I didn't even realize it was down until I was leaving the store. I would recommend this route for a quality one.

Totally agree with Ikea. They have a lot of options and grades for warmth. Very reasonably priced, especially for the quality.

IKEA. The swedes are duvet people. Three weights in each size at least.

I bought a great one from Amazon. It's the Pinzon Pyrenees Hypoallergenic Down Alternative comforter. Fairly lightweight, washes up well in my front loader, satisfies both my too-hot DH and my too cold self. $110 a year and a half ago.

I want to buy a good quality (but not outrageously priced) duvet insert (comforter) for my master bed. DH stays pretty warm so nothing heavy duty.

I am kind of overwhelmed by all the choices and price points. I just want decent quality, will last, not too warm, not too cool. Any recommendations for stores or specific colors?

To be clear, I am looking for the insert part. I already bought the cover part.

TIA.
