Ha ha. Maybe if the 1600 SAT scores were for just CR+M. But I'm pretty sure it's for 3 section. So no. Not these schools.

And this discussion thread for parents of B students gives lots of ideas about where kids applied and were accepted.

Have you actually researched West Coast Colleges? That's a very selective list of schools.

What does he/she want to study?

Some of the smaller Cal State campuses, or UC Merced might fit the bill. The "directional" schools in Oregon (e.g. Southern Oregon, Western Oregon . . . ) are small and serve kids in those ranges.

Depending on what he/she wants to study Woodbury in Burbank is a great school, although the majors are limited. Santa Clara is a nice small school, although it might be a reach rather than a match.

Anyone have a student apply/attend western schools? California, Oregon, Washington state, especially.

Looking for schools that accept B/B- students. My student attends a rigorous school, but is in the bottom third of the class, GPA-wise. SAT's in the 1600-1650 range.

Wants to be in the west. Would prefer schools with less than 5000 students. Urban/suburban/rural is fine.
