Doesn't anyone understand the difference btw administrative offices and administrators at schools?

Central office is open. If 12-month employees want to take leave, they can. But they don't automatically have off spring break.

Administrators and 12-month employees at schools also have to take leave if they want off. Many CHOOSE to work over breaks b/c there's time to catch up on work w/o the constant interruptions.

Closed. Count on it. You might see the principals car parked in the lot one or two days but no support staff like secretaries.

Some schools also use the break to do needed repair or cleaning work, and they may close the school for that reason as well. It is best to call your child's school to check.

As a rule, administrative offices are open every day next week except for Good Friday-but, if the administrators and administrative secretary choose to take vacation next week (which many do, since students are out of the building and it's hard to take vacation when there are students in the building), the office may be closed.

Thank you. I didn't want to call the school because I don't want them to think I'm suggesting they ought to be working (this forum has made me realize many people are super critical about teacher time off. Maybe they feel the same about administrators.)
But I did just call the Montco schools office, and apparently whether the office is open or not depends on the school.

I don't know the answer, but maybe you could call over today and ask?

hmph. Still having trouble getting through to their website. I guess they are already closed!

I know, I should google this, and I did, but for some reason the montco website is stuck in opening. Thought I'd check quickly if someone has the answer here.
