I thought it was very very helpful. I also LOVE the app Selene which is awesome. I got pregnant on the first try after monitoring temps for a year (and other ovulation signs).

I doubt the basics would change much, but who knows, there could be more detail from new studies. You could try the library now and get it then, or if you bought it now and wanted to upgrade, it would be a nice book to donate to a woman's center or something.

I never read it, totally unnecessary. If you're not pregnant in six months, then you should go see your OB/GYN for testing.

It really is useful, and full of info I had no clue about.

Love the book. All the information is presented in a very clear framework, which I found quite helpful in terms of piecing all the information back into the whole picture, if that makes sense. There are diagrams, charts, anecdotes to supplement the material -- maybe it's because I tend to like learning from books better but for me it was helpful to have information laid out in a systematic way, rather than getting bits from google and connecting the dots in a vacuum.

Yes. This book is amazing. I'm pregnant with my second. It took us 3 months. The first month I didn't temp or follow TCOYF, just OPKs and CM. Second month I did the whole TCOYF routine. Third month I ovulated a week early than expected with Fertility Friend, but I could tell b/c of my temps and CM. I feel like the more you use TCOYF, the easier it is. Though the whole process can make you a little insane.

I read both, but the Fertility Friend courses online are pretty much the same thing, without all the annoying anecdotes and they are FREE. I'd recommend that over TCOYF.

And yes, I hated temping. I did it for about 6 months to nail down my patterns and then I stopped. I found eventually I had a hard time sleeping bc anytime I woke up early morning I immediately thought "should I temp now?! or wait?!" and it was not fun...

And you need to temp for 2-3 months to start seeing patterns

I read it and it helped immensely. It helped me understand my charts, my cycle and my body. One month of charting really isn't enough to understand your cycles.

I really loved that book and thought it was helpful for understanding my own body. It was things I'd never read before.

If you're temping, try the Kindara app. I've liked using that app. My problem with temping is that I can't ever find the perfect thermometer. They're just all so flimsy and "dumb". Why can't they be smarter, remember several temperatures etc? I wish a thermometer could hook up to my Iphone. Also, they're super loud and wake my DH up every morning. Just annoyed with the whole temping.

I also loved the book, and highly recommend it. Even though you're getting bits of information from the website, reading the book and reading more detailed information is much more informative. I would say definitely read the book - there is more info in there than just on the website.

I loved this book. It's true that a lot of the content is online - on their own TCOYF site. I found it helpful to read and skim the material in a systematic manner, rather than just collecting bits ad hoc based on google searches. And I would especially recommend it if some of the online info you're getting is from message boards. I guess you wont uncover any earth shattering missing piece of info that you don't already have, but I just appreciate having the book in my back pocket, so to speak.

I have been trying for six months. I have used OPKs, monitored CM, and tried temping last month. There are a lot of instructions online for temping, so I am curious how much more information TCOYF will actually provide in terms of helping me get pregnant? Everyone raves about it, but what's in the book that isn't online?
